Announcing our New Executive Director

Ann Marie Day

The New England Rural Health Association is pleased to announce that Ann Marie Day will be joining the organization as Executive Director, starting March 23, 2020.  Ann Marie comes to the New England Rural Health Association with over 10 years of healthcare, quality improvement and advocacy experience working in rural Maine and regionally across New England. Ann Marie holds a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Rivier University.  Ann Marie is passionate about improving the quality of life and care for patients and communities, particularly addressing social determinants of health and the needs of vulnerable populations.

For the past three years, Ann Marie managed the Care Transitions and Medication Safety programs at Healthcentric Advisors, the New England QIN-QIO.  Her efforts focused on reducing unnecessary healthcare utilization; improving communication between care settings, and reducing adverse drug events. Ann Marie specialized in collaborating across the care continuum to bring together partners to share resources and best practices. She led efforts around provider engagement, coalition building, and technical support on quality improvement activities.

Prior to joining Healthcentric Advisors, Ann Marie worked at a Federally Qualified Health Center for eight years in a number of roles. She supervised social service programs, helping patients gain access to health insurance, medications, and other resources. She led the Population Health Management program, using data to drive the clinical and financial outcomes. This experience provided a unique understanding and appreciation for the challenges of providers and patients in rural New England.

Ann Marie is looking forward to broadening the reach of the association and continuing to bring a voice to rural healthcare.
